What we process, and why
Account data — your email address and password hash, so you can sign in. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Kept until you delete your account.
Session and security cookies — session and signed_in, set only
once you sign in; locale and consent, set only when you choose a language
or answer the cookie banner; and the short-lived cookies used while signing in,
verifying an email address or resetting a password. Simply reading this site
sets no cookie. Legal basis: legitimate
interest in running a secure service (art. 6(1)(f)), and for the strictly
necessary ones the ePrivacy art. 5(3) exemption. See the cookie
policy.
Measurement — cookies and identifiers only if you agree to them. Until you answer, and if you refuse, Google's tag on this site still sends cookieless pings: that a page was opened, with no cookie and no identifier of you or your device. The cookie policy says what they carry, names the vendors and tells you how to change your mind at any time. Legal basis: consent (art. 6(1)(a)) for cookies and identifiers; for the cookieless pings, our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works and is used (art. 6(1)(f)).
Error diagnostics — when something breaks, we record the error. Session replay, which records what you did before the error, runs only with your consent.
Who else sees it
Our servers are hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH. Email is sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES). The map is drawn from tiles and fonts served by OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org) from OpenStreetMap data; your browser asks it directly, so it sees your IP address and the area you are viewing. Place photos are loaded from Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org), run by the Wikimedia Foundation; your browser asks it directly, so it sees your IP address and the photo you are viewing. The trip planner sends what you type to our platform's AI gateway (niro-platform), which passes it to an AI model to build the trip: Alibaba's Qwen through OpenRouter, or Google's Gemini if that one does not answer. Error reports go to Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), and so does the session replay if you agreed to it. The measurement vendors are named in the cookie policy. Some process data outside the EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time — through Cookie settings in the page footer, or on the cookie policy page — without affecting processing that already happened. You may complain to your supervisory authority; in the Czech Republic that is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů.
When you delete your account, we remove your account and sign-in details, your saved trips with their days and places, your notification settings and notifications, your logged-in sessions and devices, and the e-mails we keep about you. Only records of actions by our staff in the admin area are kept. In Settings you can download a copy of your data as one file: it contains your profile, your saved trips with days and places, your notification settings and notifications, your sessions and devices, the partner links you opened, and the type and date of the e-mails we sent you. The file never contains passwords or access keys. To use any of your rights, write to privacy@daywend.com.
